A booming in person success on 12 cards (11 different) from Scott Nelson, former Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, and Milwaukee Brewers prospect and he is currently rated as one of the top pitching coaches in the Midwest and the #1 pitching coach in Illinois. He played baseball at my high school, OPRF (Oak Park and River Forest High School) and was the first 4 year varsity starter and holds the record for the most varsity wins in the schools entire history (100+ years) he was drafted by the White Sox in the 9th round of the 1985 MLB Draft. He played for the Helena GoldSox in 1986 and then the Helena Brewers in 1987 in 1988 he was traded to the Giants where he played for the Clinton Giants then the Salinas Spurs where he ended his career. I umpired Scott's daughters softball team last spring so I kind of knew him going into this. Now here is some of the things Scott told me when I talked to him while he was signing the cards. The orange ProCards card and the 1969 and the 1962 cards I asked him why he was carrying a bat because he was a pitcher and he told me to look at the handle of the bat and it says 'Hi Mom' so I guess the bat and telling the photographer that his position was P-DH not just a pitcher let him sneak that shout out to his mom in there. He liked the cards I made but who doesn't they are awesome. I put my Photoshop skills to use on the OPRF cards because that was originally a black and white photo that I took a picture because it is hanging up at school in the hall way outside of the Field House so it was low quality and I added in a background to the picture as well. You can go to strikes to get lessons with Scott and check out their amazing staff and amazing and check out their site: www.strikesbaseball.com or call (708) 345-3200 to schedule a tour of the facility or make an appointment for a lesson. Major Leaguers are there all the time in the off season it was really a great place I was glad I went and got some autos. Thanks so much to Scott and all of the Strikes Staff for making this happen and letting me watch some lessons and look around I highly recommend it to everybody who goes. Great success.
